Space in Marinas is becoming increasingly tight and the addition of a bow thruster can be an important retro-fit modification for both motor and sail boats to aid manoeuvrability. They also assist single handed sailing and generally, make life much easier. The Side-Power range from Sleipner Motors caters for vessels from 20’ to 140’ and offer a variety of control options, either touch panel or joystick, cordless hand held remote or intuitive docking panel (for use with bow and stern thruster combination).
The addition of a bow thruster to your boat comprises of selecting the correct unit, accurate positioning and fitting of the thruster tube, clean and tidy installation of the motor unit and wiring loom, and ergonomic positioning of the control panel. All units come with a dedicated fuse and power shut-off. We undertake the whole project including lifting out, installation, testing the new thruster unit and re-launching.
