Coppercoat application

 We are the recognised centre for preparation and application of Coppercoat. This is an epoxy (solvent free) resin combined with high purity copper granules. Once cured, the surface may be lightly abraded to allow the reaction between salt water and copper (producing the powerful antifouling agent cuprous oxide) to take place more readily.

The most cost effective times to apply Coppercoat are either when the hull has no previous coatings to remove or during the course of an osmosis treatment when the hull is already prepared for coatings, the Coppercoat will add to the epoxy barrier that is applied in this process.
